Back in the summer I was having problems with our MK4 Astra cutting out at junctions. I took it to Vauxhall under warranty and they cleaned the throttle body, I asked for a new one but they said that was what they'd do next time if needed.
Today it's started doing it again but it's 3 months out of warranty. Do I have reasonably grounds for asking for a new throttle body as cleaning it was obviously a temporary fix?
Any opinions greatly recieved.
Cheers.

I suppose it comes down to your relationship with the dealer:-
- Are the service people still working there that told you what
work they had done ? If Yes, I'd go in there in pleasant mode, and say "I'm having a problem with the car which went away when you cleaned the throttle body on the ' xxth of July'. At the time it was suggested that a new throttle body would be fitted if it didn't cure the problem, so could we arrange for this to be done"?
Get a 'Yes OK sir' (hopefully) then when they've taken the booking details, remind them that the car's warranty has now elapsed, but you won't be expecting a charge as the fault was present under warranty' Keep it pleasant.
