Our armed forces in the area following the Iraq war are helping in the aid efforts. They are trained in how to do this, and are paid their wages by the government to do this.

Poor Guy, stop sucking your own dick for 2 minutes, and try to understand that thousands of people less well of than us have had their lives destroyed by something that can happen in a lot of the places on this planet you clearly think are yours.

I am not sure if these are poor guys thoughts but if they are I agree with him.

Why does charity have to be shoved down are throat all the time, if we wanted to donate to these people we would find a way to help. We would shouldn't be judged as bad people because we do not want to financially support these people.

This thread wasnt put up as debating point. I put it up to remind people of what has happened and to make it just a little easier for them to donate by putting a clicky up for them.

If you dont give a damn about these poor souls then fine, that is after all your right to do so.It is not being shoved down your throat either. No-one is shaking a tin in your face after all.

I have witnessed first hand disasters like this. Turkey was terrible. For a few moments I thought I might have lost my wife.

To see the faces of people who have lost whole families and their houses etc.. no friends to turn to. Children screaming. No food . No control from a modern Goverment etc...

You tell me you wouldnt want to help ?????

For those of you who are interested maybe I have the feelings because I cannot relate to these insidents, when I see pictures of this devistation I do not seem to comprehend what is happening.

For instances when I see the footage of twin towers, I can't feel sorry for the people who are dyeing I just think Ohh shame that building is falling down.

Perhaps it is because I havent witness the pain people are going through, or either don't want to attach myself to it.
