Anybody know how to swap the info from the old sim card in my old 8310 to my new 6600? possibly using infrared or whatever. I can only seem to do it by using the old sim card in the new phone, then swapping them into the new phones memory one at a time which is a bit monotonous.

Or just copy the sim card contents to phone memory, swap the cards & copy onto the new one.

yea, that was plan A, but it will only let you swap them from sim to phone one at a time. I think it should be possible to use the infrared ports but i'm darned if I know how.

Can't do it all at once via IR..

most sims can hold 100 numbers so do this:

Put sim in 8310 copy All numbers to phone memory..this will make sure your sim is empty & fresh!.... then select address book, copy all, select move original (this will move upto 100 numbers onto the sim), bang sim into you 66xx phone & repeat the above to get numbers from sim onto 66xx phone... Reapt steps if you have more than 100 numbers in your 8310, gradually your will move/replace all the numbers.. Think of it like cut 'n paste on your computer..

Cheers

If you have a laptop or pc with infrared get Logomanager Click here or Oxygen Click here and copy the contents. You could even use content copier from Nokia (part of PC Suite to copy all the content ) including sms.

Edited to say the demos are all you need
