I havent watched any Only Fools and Horses for several years now, only the older ones. IMHO they took the franchise too far, especially when the women were introduced.

Time to put it to rest.

Ive seen plenty of reports that the office is really in its final 2 episodes now, i hope it is. Its a cracking programme, hopefully it wont go down the Horses route.

So what did you think ?

The door seems to be left wide open for future spin-offs or one-offs!

i've never thought the office was funny, i just don't get it,
only fools and horses was spoiled when the writer made them broke again, he should have kept them millionaires and tried something new, instead of making them broke again and doing the same old format

I liked the office, probably as It reminds me of ours sometimes, was glad Dawn and Tim got it together. This is to be the last Office so they say, no more on the cards as Gervais wanted to end it before it became stale, ala Faulty Towers. Apparently they are gonna make an Only Fools and Horses spin off, going back to when they were all kids.

I enjoyed it The Office is just beautifully observed humour. It's not always laugh out funny, but for anyone who has ever worked in an office environment, you can probably relate to one or more of the characters - which is why it works so well (God help you, if your boss was like Brent ).

What's so nice is all the stuff going on in the background. Watching the second part you see the 'relationship' between the women and the black guy in the office and then watch it all go pear-shaped at the party as he goes off with another girl. No words were spoken, but it was brillantly done.

A clever idea well done. I hope they leave it there. It is best remembered like Fawlty Towers. Better to go out on a high, than end up with the embarassment that was Only Fools and Horses.

Chris

My girlfriend has always thought he is a t*t and doesn't really get it. When he shook Carol's hand and waved her off without making a prat of himself, she actually used the word 'blimey' !

My boss is David Brent

I think it's pure class, but I do agree, you have to work in an office environment to appreciate how it all 'gels' together

Brent was still an attention seeking muppet, remember the last episond when he begged for his job back? That was well done, he didnt have a life outside the office.
I'd be interested to see what happened with the new senario, maybe they will do a one off in a few years or so.
Guess Ill have to murder the first 2 series
