I get my dinner at 23:30 tonight by the way. I will be sleeping my way through all that Xmas day stuff. I doubt that I am missing much.
What trimmings do you get with lasagne?

24 hr shifts are nothing..
12months ago - I used to 56 hour shift - non-stop (Sat, Sun then home at 5pm Monday).
Its so refreshing that the government deemed healthcare professionals should come into line with European working rules 2 years after they were set

only 14 hours to go..

Used to do one man jobs out on the rigs. had me up and awake for up to 48 hours at a time. Bloody dangerous! Kept falling down stairs. Stopped us doing it and quite right too. As for docs treating me after 20 hours with no sleep? I would ask for a 2nd opinion cos I know what it is like to be short of sleep.
No offence Gastro but it is just plain wrong!

being awake for long periods does send you off it. I can be up for about 36 hours some time if I do a night shift then dont go home to bed................I feel very spaced at that the end of it.........56 is just not right.
00:15 and I want to go home grrrrrrrrrr, mental note to self get new non shift based job
