Was playing a few old LPs (remember them anyone ) trying to make a compilation tape for Chrissy. Problem is I need a new stylus but I can't think these are readily available any more? Any ideas? David

Remember LP's - still buy vinyl to this day so I should say so.
As others have said we need to know make/model and what it's on. Many stylii are readily available, but not for some of the midi system turntables so come on, fess up what are you running?
tiggers.

Thanks guys,
This is what it says "on the box". Basically it is a Sony system being: Fully Remote Controlled Compact Hi-Fidelity Stereo System LBT-D307. Turntable on top is Sony Auto Stereo Turntable System PS-LX49P. About 14 years old.
We do have a Sony shop about 14 miles away so I may give them a call but is the past thay have been pretty hopeless about support services!
May be I will plug in the model numbers into Google and see what happens. Thanks, David
Edited to ask Brickboy - thanks. Silly question but where do I get these from - any largish CD/record store?

Thanks again guys - and happy Xmas BTW
Druddle - may well give your bro-in-law a call after Chrissy as I need to speak to someone about lights for my boy's band. In fact someone who did some lighting for a gig for the band mentioned he got most of his stuff from cga so small world. Kave is local to us but I would like to try cga especially if I have a name. David, you'd have to go to a hifi store to get a cartridge. A basic Audio Technica / Goldring / Ortofon will do the trick and will be much better than the OEM Sony.
If you do a web search you can find a protracter that you can download and print, to help you line the stylus up correctly.
Good luck!
