While I sympathise and understand where you are coming from I have to say hurting some poor kitty cat isn't the nicest thing you could have suggested. Try a sonic repellent.

Be prepared for a flaming from the animal rights brigade!

buy some liver and cut it into bitesize peices(cat bitesize) after its cooked cut up a small sponge into roughly same sizes and mix it in with the liver.

cat eats liver + cant digest + expands in stomach = no more problem.
maybe a bit drastic, but I'd guess it'll work

water pistol everytime you catch it in the act, eventually it will sink in that it gets wet everytime it stands on your car...pyschological warfare always wins

Don't squirt it whilst it is on the car unless you want claw marks all over the paint!

Its incredible the way cat owners expect people to just put up with their pets... maybe one of the effects of having toxoplasma cysts in their brains!

I said scare not kill the moggy bastaard...anyway I am an animal lover at heart (have had numerous cats and dogs as pets but they never jump on peoples cars! )

the thing is this cat is really smart cos I can feel and sometimes see it hiding in the bushes after I've parked up waiting for me to get out of view before it pounces on my car
