Havign read countless digital camera questions on here I'm sorry to ask another but.... I need to canvas opinion on a couple of cameras. My two options are:
Canon PowerShot A80
Minolta DiMAGE Z1
I'm not after a really basic point and shoot thing as I'm getting quite interested in photography. My budget is somewhere between £250 and £300.
I've been looking at the Canon because of it's flip round LCD viewer and ability to take additional screw-on lenses etc. and the Minolta because of it's 10x Optical Zoom and ability to manually overide nearly all features (zoom, exposure, contrast etc)

Just got the A60
very impressive, every control can be altered manually, not just the auto point n click
I would defo go for the A80

I just bought the A80 from Amazon, only arrived today though so haven't had time to get the batteries in it yet
Looks like a nice piece of kit, the flippable LCD screen was one of the major influences for me, plus the quality not only of the camera but also the images from the reviews i've read.
I just hope it's all true!!
