Time to put something in the description "bids from people with a feedback of <1 will not be accepted".

OTOH, we all have to start somewhere and if everyone did that no new bidders would be able to join.

IIRC my feedback's only "2" anyway...

A camera lens went the other day at £20 under retail price at 9 months old.

Assuming the money actually arrives for these I should get mine listed

I put an old Toshiba Libretto (very small laptop) on there a few months back and some guy e-mailed me within 1 hour and payed over my "buy it now" price (I had already priced it at well over what I was expecting) and offered to pay postage. All seemed very dodgy so I asked him to transfer the money B4 I posted it.....and he did, no problems....Muppets.

Cool

Ironically, a lady in England gave me a bid on an item and after the shipping was figured she backed out of the deal.
Professed that her mail had been robbed.

normally an exchange of emails will reveal whether the bidders/sellers are serious. maybe there are scammers out there who can string a sentence together, but i haven't come across them.

It's constantly surprised me just how much people are prepared to pay .... we sold my daughter's horse riding gear (body protector etc) recently. All VGC, but we got £10 less than we paid for them over two years ago!

I was expecting £25 maybe but we ended up with over £50. Result

just to clarify......i know ebay items go for over the odds on occasion.

but i am refering to people from outside the UK buying an item at any cost then requesting payment via stupid scammy sounding means.....reporting these ppl is useless as once they have a few negs on their feed back they just start a new account!

from now on i am deleting anone with less than 3 positive purchases unless they email first.....which is a bloody pain.

Here is one relating to a P800 phone im selling. Looks dodgy to me Hello,

I'm a merchant from Indonesia.
I really interested to buy your item(s) directly.
I'll pay by my Mastercard/visa direct through your merchant/credit card
machine.
I DON'T DO Paypal, bidpay or money transfer.
I'll pay the shipping cost by EMS to Indonesia.

I hope we can make a long term bussines relationship in the future.

If you agree, please reply this email.

Best regards,

good question...i have no idea! but i've read plenty of other adds that state "ppl bidding with no feed back will be deleted unless they email their details first" so i assume it can be done.

the moron that bid on my palm now has 5 feedback..ALL of it says stuff like "ignore my UK only posting" etc but its all neutral and ones even positive! these ppl are as bad as the bloody bidder- if he's a non payer (i dnt care if he's a non paying scammer or just an idiot who changed his mine) you should rip him apart in the feed back to warn others.
