Your Phone Number
#1
I took this from another site and it almost works, you'll get an extra digit
Is this your phone number?
1) Key in the first three digits of your phone number into a calculator.
(do not use your area code number)
2) Multiply by 80
3) Add one
4) Multiply by 250
5) Plus last four digits of your pnone number
6) Plus last four digits of your phone number again
7) Minus 250
Then divide by 2
Is that your number? (almost)

you should get exactly your phone number so long as it is seven digits....
call the first 3 digits X
the last 4 digits Y
(((((X x 80) + 1) x 250) + 2Y) - 250) / 2
= (20,000X + 250 + 2Y - 250) / 2
= 10,000X + Y
So the first three digits get multiplied by 10,000 which effectively adds 4 zero's on the end, then the last digits are added
simple.
Edited to add: you guys must have added part or whole of your dialling code?

not even close
it works for ANY 7 digit number, as proved above.... if it didn't work for you then you have done something badly wrong! Try pressing the equals button after each step!

OK try this (not the area code)
1. Take your number
2. Add 9
3. Subtract 9
4. multiply by 8
5. divide by 8
And unless you have completly screwed up you'll have your phone number.
Other half sent me this & it works with all numbers.....

It will work if you separate the last four digits, for example:-
7 digits use first 3 then last 4
6 digits use first 2 then last 4
8 digits use first 4 then last 4
7 digits use first 3 then last 4
6 digits use first 2 then last 4
8 digits use first 4 then last 4
