My god why is it that every car manufacturer decides to give front fogs as an added extra and people decide "I look cool as ****" driving with them on, dont these poor sh1tes realise they are just adding to the misery of the already over stressed boiling pot we call british roads by thinking they look good?? if car manufacturers told people to drive round with heated windows on would we look so cool? for **** sake turn them off and give us all a break.

the strange thing is that people are gobsmacked when you challenge them over it, they cannot understand that they are "fog lights" and only to be used in visibility under 100mtrs! I just give them full beam now as every 1 in 4 cars seems to have them on and you almost feel like you are banging your haed against a brick wall. its like the reversing alarm scenario, for **** sake if you cant park you shouldn't be be driving buddy!! all this extra sh1te they pile onto cars makes the driver more idle and arrogant!!

I know, driving through town earlier and a 4x4 passed me with fogs on, right at my eye level. Was totally clear to!

People miss using the fogs annoys the hell out of me.
Tempted to buy one of those digital signs that can get and get past them and then display the message "turn off you fogs you tw8t"

Personally, the front fogs don't bother me. It's the back one - that bl00dy bright red one that really winds me up. Much more distracting.
I use mine primarily when it's foggy, but have been known on occasion to use them in poor visibility etc......
just my 2p.

or..... you pull up to a junction with two lanes, left hand lane straight on, right hand lane straight on or turn right. you pull into right hand lane behind woman driving volvo, who's not indicating right so must be going straight on. lights turn green and at last second she indicates right, and youre stuck behind her. b$£ch! would it kill people to put the indicator on BEFORE they get to the junction?

I dont see why the police dont clamp down on this problem, tbh it would pull more cash in than speed cameras as the ammount of people i see with fogs on is alarming (especially on a clear day!)
and they should increase the fine from 30 to 50 quid as a bit of an incentive.

The manufacturers need to make them go off when the ignition is switched off. That would stop 25% of them where they truely have been left on by accident and the driver isnt a ****.

Just Subaru do with the rear fog, but not the front!!!
However, I do remember there being something in the drivers manual about them not being foglights......
Mine are usually caked in sh1te, so they're no good anyway!!!

Rear fogs very annoying almost never bad enough conditions to need them though lots of people leave them on nothing you can do coz most of the time I guess they have forgotten they have left them on and wont have a clue what u are trying to say when u start madly flashing them.
Front fogs assist the rather poor headlamps and light up the edges of the road sufficiently to give you a better feel for the position of the car on the road so I use these frequently - on non lit roads and lanes etc, on M ways and around town i switch them off.
I dont find front fogs dazzling anyway because theyre low, the new superbright bulbs as fitted to newer cars are worse as are poorly adjusted lights, Vans and 4x4 whose lights are really in yer face.

Drive me mad too. I use my lights on beam if I'm trailing someone with rear fogs on, and put my rear fogs on if I'm being tailed by someone with front fogs on. Always flash them a few times first to see if they get the message.
Most surprising though is the people that use the front fogs in a side light and fogs combo! Looks pretty cool until you drive into a tree!

Last night I was driving on a B road on full beam when a Smart car came towards me. I was probably 2-3 seconds too late in filiign full beam off but the cheeky bugger flashed madly at me, even though he had his fogs on - ****!

Peugeot have the switch sorted so that when you turn your headlights off, the rear fogs are turned off aswell. Nothing to do the same on the fronts though. If car companies adapted this method and modified it to include the fronts, then only the boy racers would use them around town.

All well and good Pete, but WE all know that you come from an age where to get night lights, motorists used to have to light the candles in the lights!!!!
So obviously, any form of light is a novelty to you

Are the fog s on new cars on seperate switches. ? Or are thay taking the rear bulbs out. ? If thay are taking them out surly it ilegal. Last week comeing down m6 in fog most cars with front fogs on did not have the rears on . Would i be right in thinking that in a accident thay would be at fault ? bug me also
