Question

Need some help from people who may have a disney DVD.

I bought a Dinosaur 2 disc collectors edition on ebay for my nephew for christmas. Just been and collected it from post office and it feels fake to me.

The guy I bought it off on ebay looks genuine enough, highly stresses the authenticity and he had no complaints in his feedback (of many disney DVD's).

In the ad it said it would be genuine because of disney seal on top and Buena Vista stamp on plastic wrapper, seemed fair enough so I bought it.

When I got hold of it today though the plastic wrapping feels soft and cheap (genuine dvd's and games i've had before the wrapper is that hard clear plastic), also there are no holograms on the case or anything, and the disney seal on the top is just plain white and looks fake. Also picture on front looks dark and wrong.

Thing is I may be wrong and to get my facts straight before having a go. Any help/tips for genuine Disney would be great.

The white sticker on the end of the box; shouldn't this be sort of white with reflective stripes in it?. The one I have almost looks like a photocopy of a genuine one and the reflective stripes are just visible and appear to be a sort of light blue colour not reflective.

if its a copy it seams like a very very good one
theres blokes @ work knocking copys out for £3 and stuff and tbh the quality is crap

2 seperate people bought "the hulk" from one

i saw both copys
one looked normal but ovb with the slightly crappy printing on the cover
the second had red substituted for green as the blokes ink printer cart ran out

there was a website in the us doing copys quite cheap and you would recive a dvd disc which looked 100% pro, you also recieaved a proper printed card for the outside but you did not get a dvd box to keep the costs down

a friend used to use them all the time, he lent me a few and you even get a proper dvd menu screen and stuff, normaly on the dvd menus you get a few static pics and the trailer as "bonus`s"
the film would then be one of the ts/workprint type versions you can download if you know where to look

i watched terminator 3 before it was out at the pictures on a dvd disc with a proper menu screen

sumbody is putting serious amounts off effort into makeing these discs, i think my mate payed £3 for the terminator version
