I had no idea it had been released on DVD. Anyone else on here seen it?

Yeah, got it on DVD as it has been around for a while. It is an amazing movie and well worth buying. There are now several other, similar, movies but it's hard to forget the impact Koyaanisquatsi made on me the first time I saw it. Utterly captivating.

Mishima was another Philip Glass composition/film.
Was used for intercity ads at one point - fantastic stuff.
When I was at music college we had a few nights listening to Philip Glass in the dark after consuming lots of mushrooms.
Took me places I've never been since

Koyaanisquatsi was available in a box set along with Power-cut-si (as the missus calls it).
Quite often put that on at the end of a hard week, crank up the surround amp and sit and chill with a nice bottle of wine (or a bottle of JD if it has been a tough one).
Even if you have seen it before, well worht getting the DVD for pure image quality and the surround sound mix really makes it.
Cheers

One of the rare films I actually went to the movies for, back in 1983-84 IIRC.
Made a very big impact on me, already being a Glass fan back then.
Hmmm... looks like I need to buy another DVD

jlanng,
Yep, proper Dolby 5.1 mix. Sounds terrific.
Not too late, send the missus into town. Saw the box set in my local HMV just yesterday.
Cheers

Great film, got it a few months back. It's on play.com in the 2 for £16 promotion (it counts as one).
I prefer Baraka to it though. I'm quite into this style of film. I've also got a couple of Imax DVD;'s which have good visuals, Blue Planet and the Oil Fires of Kuwait Anyone recommend some similar stuff?
