My face is green and my ears are steaming .
I will go to my grave regretting not seeing them in Derby (of all places) with Bonn Scott just before i really started to appreciate them.
I even wore a black arm band at school for a week when he died

Amazonl] version.
I'm not surprised at all. As you say, against all the dross around today, it shines out like a beacon of how rock music should be done. I expect it to keep on selling for many more years yet.

xyzpaul, so you're splitting hairs between one list that says sixth best selling album ever and one that says third best selling album ever..????
Pray, what difference does three places make in the grand scheme of things???!!

This thread got me hunting for some amusing ACDC stuff I heard ages ago. Being a big ACDC fan I nearly spilt my beer all over the PC when I heard this...
Back in Baroque - A string tribute to ACDC. Bon Scott would turn in his grave :O
PMSL @ this... you need media player and a quick ish connection

Allan,i agree, technically they were laughingly bad, which made them great imo.Pure rock and roll, and how many bands could lose a singer like Bon Scott and follow up with an album as good as BIB?
and they are simply great live,
and they are simply great live,

Can't find the link now that I saw it on, but it was a little news-in-brief item which didn't give a sales figure.
IIRC, the Eagles is up at nearly 40 million sales worldwide, Thriller not too far behind. Rumours is around 32 million.
What's worrying is that Celine Dion has recently become the first artist (i.e. still recording and active) ever to sell over 10 million copies each, of three consecutive albums.

Well I was going to be the first person to reply to this thread, until I found out the song in question was on a different album.
But as it's digressed this far, I will allow myself to say that you are all talking bo11ocks.
I'm upper, upper class high society
God's gift to ballroom notoriety
And I always fill my ballroom
The event is never small
All the social papers say I've got the biggest ***** of all
CHORUS
I've got big *****
I've got big *****
And they're such big *****
Dirty big *****
And he's got big *****,
And she's got big *****,
But we've got the biggest ***** of them all!
And my ***** are always bouncing
My ballroom always full
And everybody comes and comes again
If your name is on the guest list
No one can take you higher
Everybody says I've got great ***** of fire!
CHORUS
Some ***** are held for charity
And some for fancy dress
But when they're held for pleasure they're the ***** that I like best.
And my ***** are always bouncing
(To the left and to the right);
It's my belief that my big ***** should be held every night.
CHORUS
And I'm just itching to tell you about them
Oh, we have such wonderful fun;
Seafood cocktail,
Crabs,
Crayfish...

"If You Want Blood...You Got It" was voted the 2nd best live album of all time in Classic Rock mag the other week. Number one? Thin Lizzy "Live and Dangerous", whilst number three was Cheap Trick "At Budokan".
BIB was a great album and a tremendous comeback, and it's a shame they have never really gotten close since. "Razor Edge" was ok, and the recent "Stiff Upper Lip" was too.
Rawk and Rollllllll!

sorry but what a load of bollox re those live albums! as great as they are,and I do like At The Budokan, but for petes sake,is it better than Mad In Japan?! Or Strangers In The Night,or Tokyo Tapes,or All The Worlds a Stage,or Unleashed In The East,or Made In Europe,or Songs Remains The Same or Queen Live or...............well,there are many more.I Want You To Want Me has a lot to answer for!!! (I reckon that album gets voted for on the basis of that track alone)
And I saw Lizzy on the Renegade Tour, and imho Live And Dangerous does not do them justice, althougth its still great.I only have my good friend Docjock to constantly remind me that Made In Japan does DP justice, because the b4astard saw them live with the great line up I can only imagine................
But I agree with If You Want Blood, just for Whole Lotta Rosie and Let There Be Rock
