Tried today, and twice they have rejected my card details, saying it is wrong, yet it is clearly the correct details, sufficient funds are in my account, and I have purchased other stuff online today, and no problems

When I say rejected, I mean they accepted all the details initially, then 2 or 3 hours later they decline my card !!

Yup, have purchased a few things from them, no problems at all.

I'd phone amazon and maybe your card issuer to find out what's going on

Yeah I've bought from them.

They were more expensive than the book shop near to where I lived at the time once they'd added their 'secret' delivery charge on top!!

Ive just tried again now, but this time put my home phone number in the details, instead of my mobile number, see if that works

Have you moved recently without informing the credit card company? The delivery address quite often has to be the same as is registered to the card.

This is probably my 100th if not more online purchase, just the first time with Amazon all for 7 quid too hehe

I did move but that was nearly two years ago, first time I have ever had any problems, they dont actually say why apart from my card details or address may be wrong

Weird

Used them a lot. Excellent service and FREE delivery if you spend a certain (£25 I think) amount.

Chip.

I had this, oddly enough with Amazon too. Probably not what you are seeing but I guess it might be.

I entered all the details of my card right, the last thing was the expiry date. Then, when I tried to scroll down to the bottom of the page using the scroll wheel on the mouse, this scrolled down thro the expiry date without me noticing. So it was rejected as wrong date.

Question

Haven't had any problems with them, and they've even managed to send stuff out to Oz without a hitch. Forgive the hi-jack but does anyone know the procedure if you need to exchange an item (VHS for DVD) at Amazon>

Never had a problem with them yet myself. Although my brother in law has had multiple shipments of one order and on another the item he ordered arrived with 4 others he hadn`t ordered for which his credit card was debited

Always had great service. changed my card recently and entered the wrong Expiry Date. Was clear that was the error once I checked...

I have used them many times not the cheapest around but very good service, any problems i have had through me not reading their web site properly they have always dealt with very generously.

Well it now looks like the order has gone through (certainly not been declined this time) all because I changed my Phone Number to my house phone instead of my mobile

I know some companies specifically state the phone number MUST belong to the house and not to be a mobile, but I normally only ever give my mobile number as I can never remember my home number cept that it has 3 6's in it

Ordered a Canon A60 Camera from them now too, so hopefully that will all go through OK

edited to add Rally Ive sent you a PM through 5ive-o

Steve
