Following on from my damp car thread where can you buy these? Maybe a couple in the boot etc will help get rid of damp.

Thanks

I didn't realise they were so easy to get hold of. Do they sell them in shops or do you have to order them?

Thanks

Paul

You could try an electric dehumidifier (assuming you have somewhere you can park with an etxtension cord coming out the car!)

You can bake the desicant in the oven at 50/60 C to dry the stuff out and re-use it, that's what we used to do with ours at work.

Caravan and camping places used to sell dessicants. Presume they still do, but don't know.

I used to use calcium chloride to dry out the interior or previous cars. It came in ~1kg bags from Wilkinsons, IIRC.

Sodium Hydroxide crystals (caustic soda) are very hydroscopic, as is concenctrated sulphuric acid, slightly less practical though!
