Sufficient for how much recording?

Are they planning a larger capacity drive?

Can you plug in a removable hdd to expand it on a DIY basis?

Worth it?

Thanks Tiggs - was thinking more of getting it to "record" tons of films rather than Jerry Springer, Ricki Lake, Sally Jessy.... oops

And does anyone know if the 'special offer' sky have on their website to relocate your existing digibox to another room is included in the £50 installation?

Just chuck in a new blank disc upto 120Gb IIRC, the box will automatically reformat it and set it up for you. Invalidates your warranty though.

40Gb on TiVo gets you 12 hours at "best quality". I can imagine Sky+ is similar as it simply records the bitstream and doesn't recompress.

if you already have sky, if you order SKY+ online its £199 for the box and £1 for installation and relocating original box
no 50quid fee's to pay

if you aint got sky, you can get SKY+ AND a second digibox(not a + box) for £199 plus £11 installation fee
