I don't think Crash was ever supposed to be a masterpiece in the traditional sense. I'd personally say that if you thought it was crap, that's a good thing, keep it that way! Unfortunately, i was enthralled!

Saw it at the cinema several years ago. The wife wasn't too impressed with either the film or the fact that it held some sort of morbid curioisty with me - guess I'm just weird.

Mind you, having said that...Eraserhead by the same director was probably the most ludicrous film I've ever sat through.

It's a mystery and the lesbo scene is well....worth watching. It's a very cool cult film.
Check Mulholland Drive.com for the trailer.
Edited to say, it's on Sky Movies 1 at 10:10pm

I disagree. Much as I love early David Lynch Mulholland Drive was weird for the sake of being weird.
A much better film by Lynch is the masterpiece that is Blue Velvet. It's another one of those films that has a really strange morbid curiosity for me as well as being Dennis Hopper's finest hour IMHO.
The scene during which Love Letter is played as well as the scenes where Hopper is exploring his obsession with his lady friend are some of the most fascinating scenes commited to celluloid - having said that if you haven't seen it and sit down to watch it based on my recommendation don't come back here telling me I'm a sick f**k - I already know that

Tel,
You're noticing a pattern huh?
Well a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do!!! A little self indulgence never hurt anyone, but a lot of self indulgence is even better
