This morning I was watching tv when the sky + box turned itself off and onto standby, I cant turn it back on now tried unpluging it but that did'nt work.
Any ideas? I'll have to wait till I get home to ring sky otherwise

I noticed that my Sky+ box was on standby this morning, but didn't get time to switch it on.
The box usually resets after a software update. Maybe the Dual record function is finally being distributed.

BTW on all this Sky+ malarkey if you get it installed do you need another cable run from the satellite or is it all through the one cable run? Just interested in getting it but cabling done the last time was a bit awkward and messy ( run over doors and stuff )....don't fancy doing it with another cable.

Sky+ install consists of replacing the existing LNB for a quad output jobby and then running a second cable to you Sky+ box so you now have 2 inputs.
If your existing box is being relocated, it has its own cable run from the LNB to the new location and the digibox has to plug into a telephone socket.
I ordered mine online and got the Sky+ box for £199 and installation for £1. And that included relocating the orignal sky box.
A second subscription that "mirrors" you main subs cost £10 per month.
Best £200 I spent in ages!
