No idea, but this reminds me of the time when I broke down on that flyover on my weekly return to Hatfield poly - my battery died in my mini 1000, problem being it was 6pm on a winters Sunday, pitch black and I was sat with my mate on the inside lane in a deep purple tin box with no lights and no hard shoulder. Its on a slight left hand bend that I'd happily whizzed round at 60 mph every previous Sunday and I've never feared for my well being more than I did then. Luckily it was quiet and no cars had passed for the 10-20 seconds I gave it to try and restart the car.
My mate said what shall we do? I said get out quick and walk down the road towards the traffic, hugging the concrete side wall, and warn the oncoming traffic of my abandoned mini.
I'd hardly had time to shut the door when I saw a traffic policeman on a bike pull up 50 yards behind the mini, lights blazing. I have never been so glad to see traffic police expertly doing their duty! There must be cameras there , but even so, response time was truely brilliant.
We got a tow from a range rover that turned up less than a minute later to a layby where the AA got me going. Had to wait over an hour for them though.
No battery, no radio, believe me 'I spy with my little eye' can be quite a challenge when all you can see is concrete pillars that is Brent Cross flyover...
