Time I think for a new forum on S'Net. Lets call it the "Oprah" forum. Specially for all the wackos who clearly watch too much daytime TV and therfore suddenly feel the need to share every crappy little detail, thought and emotion of their personal life with several thousand strangers.

Also those that see themselves as life's "helpers" can add their 2p worth of platitudes, worthless advice and "me too" posts without clogging up NSR.

Could also provide ample space for the singles to flirt with boiterous slanging matches now MSN have closed their chatrooms. Mind you I always thought that was the only useful thing the "Muppets forum" added.

Guess I fall into the "life's little helpers" category.

Do tend to agree that NSR is not the place for this, but I don't think we need an Oprah, or Kilroy forum, I think this kind of stuff needs to just no be posted on NSR at all.

I AM a muppet, but that does not stop me from advocating the closure of the muppet forum. It is a laugh, but there are people on SN just for that, and well, that's not the primary focus of SN, plus sometimes the little children wander from the hutch and think it's big, hard and clever to post stupid things on here, when it's not.

However, saying this, I don't mind the odd 'killroy' thread, and if you don't like em, well, umm, don't read them! same as TV, instead of complaning about the content of a program, just don't watcht it!

does it really matter what the *primary focus* of SN is? personally i don't even have a subaru anymore, so the *primary focus* for me is just to have a bit of a lark and contribute what i can by way of knowledge in other areas.
