Dub plate pressing / Acetates....
#1
Unusual request:
I'm trying to track down an acetate pressing lathe to press up my own tunes for various DJs.
Ideally I want to buy my own machine but cant find anywhere that sells them.
If I cant buy my own machine then in the short term does anyone know of a good company that will do limited runs of 10 - 15 acetates?
Cheers
Ben

For about 5k you can get the Vestax vinyl cutting machine. Not quite an industry machine but does a similar job and is probably more suited to what you're trying to do. The Vestax records don't last more than a few plays but acetates don't last that long either.

A home setup for £500 ?!?!
I think an American company (Kingston) do a cheaper one than the Vestax but £500 sounds right up my street. If you get any info it would be greatly appreciated.

Alot of those home systems aren't that good, depends what you're using them for, they can only be played a few times, so if you're wanting to press up beats / tunes to play out, not the best. But if you're using them to make dub plate it's cool.
Having trouble tracking my mate down, but as soon as I find him, WLYK.
Cheers Nick
