Satellite TV aerial cable
#1
Is the aerial cable from the dish to the decoder box a standard coax cable? Reason I ask is that I have a pair of coax cables already buried in the wall from the loft to the TV - one is currently the TV cable and the other the FM radio aerial.
I'm proposing to get a diplexer gadget from Maplin which combines TV and FM radio into a single coax cable with another diplexer at the bottom of the cable to split the signals again, so that the satellite signal can be run down the other cable without messing up the walls and decorating.
Thanks
Dave

No standard 75ohm coax aerial cable will not work properly with digital satellite signals.
You need CT100 dual screened co-ax for satellite signals.
