Going in Feb 04 with work and need to know more n more about it.Will stay there for work for two wks and next two wks will stay on holidays.

Hello,

I stayed in St James's area of Barbados in 2000 for three weeks, and found there was enough to do with out having to trek/travel around the rest of the island.

Superb place - so laid back it was scary (to begin with).

I've been to Barbados twice and think it is excellent. However, my sister went and she was "scared to leave the hotel". The submarine is good and swimming with turtles.

I went to Barbados and stayed in St. James, very nice. The locals were very friendly. They told us that tourists virtually had carte blanche to do what they liked as tourism is the only thing keeping the island alive. I certainly wouldn't be worried about your safety whilst there.
