met - That sort of image quality would be fine.

It's for a present, so it has to be brand new. Cheapest I've seen for that Kodak (or the 6340), is over £100.

Argos have a Polaroid PDC 3035 (3.2MP) for £99.99. Has anyone got any recommendations?

Lightbulb

Having worn me down to the point of despair , I decided to stick with what appears to be a reliable name and plump for the Olympus C350. It seems like a reasonable camera for the money.

So I bought one off of Amazon for £152.05.

Did I make the right decision, or is everyone else just as mystified as me with this digital camera thing?

At work we have just bought a Kodak 3 megapixel for around 250.
Fantastic quality.
Surely your budget will stretch a bit.
