After reading that Bob Grant has sadly committed suicide - what are your favourite comedy shows or moments from them?

Father Ted (so many to choose from):
When Ted is waving at chinese neighbours through dirty window. Looking like hitler (moustache) and doing hitler salute. Absolute genius.

Any more?

Fawlty Towers - all of them. But to pick just one, has to be the stroppy American episode. Pure genius.

The Office is an absolute must. Tonights episode with Keith having his appraisal is hilarious and Gareth asking Rachel if he can have go when Tim has finished. David Brent is my boss! But he really isn't funny to work with.

Other personal favourites are:
Game On
Open All Hours
Vicar of Dibley
Alan Partridge
Fawlty Towers
Porridge
Coupling
Rising Damp
One Foot in the Grave
League of Gentlemen
Spaced (if you haven't seen it, you haven't lived)

Game On (1st serious best but 2nd not far behind)
Friends - many a laugh at the program and still gets a chuckle even though I seen most episodes at least 10 times
Only Fools and Horses - classic
Home Improvement - Tim Allen is a genius
Malcolm in the middle - only recently started watching this and bloody funny
Dumb and Dumber the film

Is nobody here into Bottom or any of the other Rik/Ade stuff ? Dead immature but class all the same.

Also love (in no particular order):

Morcambe and Wise
Bo Selecta
Ali G
Shooting Stars
Alan Partridge
The Simpsons

Edited - Soz. Missed the end of your list Bravo

Alan Partridge when he's doing that presentation thing for the Fireplace company and he's stabbed himself in the foot on the railings. I actually could feel a pain in my foot while watching that and laughing at the same time

I think everyone is afraid to say that "they love Bottom" in case it is misread!

I think the episode with the sprouts in, when they're all lying on the floor farting is hilarious - "It's like Kuwait in here!"

Father Ted is about the best comedy I've seen recently. There simply wasn't a bad episode throughout the whole lot.

Ahem.

Further my previous post I would like to notify the good people of SN that I'm not actually "into Bottom" but rather like to see Bottom on TV.

The scene where Basil makes the woman cry in the dining room.

German - Look you made her cry

Basil - No I didn't You invaded Poland

PMSL...An absolute classic.

Just Don't mention the war.
