Just seen on the news that there is going to be 14,000 police on duty for Bush's trip to uk at a cost of £5million.

1 good thing will be you shouldnt get caught speeding outside central london, cause all the police will be busy.

1 bad thing police response if you report a burgulary or car theft will be worse than normal. So watch your cars in London.

another bad thing they will have to catch more speeders to recoup the cost.

Carefull where you park in london, they might blow your car up if its within 10 mile of Bush.

Bet Bush doesnt have to pay the congestion charge while driving round london.

1 question thou, where do they find 14,000 coppers from to babysit him when they cant find 1 copper normally when your car gets broken into/stolen????

Funny that as it was £5m when there were 5000 police going to attend. Perhaps theyre doing voluntary work now .

The other 9,000 have been sponsored by little villages in middle England, each of which has paid £10,000 each to have their "own" policeman (See yesterday's news if this comment doesn't make sense!). Britain nowadays huh.

Apparently in Sedgefield, Co. Durham, it's seriously dangerous on the roads at the moment as the police are practicing their high-speed work ready for Bush's visit with the local MP, one Tony Blair.

I was up in the center of town this weekend doing some CP work and bumped into more armed cops than I thought was possible!

It isn't 14000, the number is derived from the equivalent number of shifts required, so if a plod works day 1 and day 2 that counts as 2 whilst it is onlt the 1 plod

Apparantly there's a bit of a problem with the visit , Tony Blair was supposed to introduce the president to the Royal family , but he's just heard that Prince Charles doesn't like Bush
