As it says above, just got a call from these fellas and they want to come and see us. The majority of our vehilces are transits which I don't beleive require their attention, but we have 1 7.5t vehicle on permanent hire. Does anyone have any experience of these chaps and what they will expect to see?

Usually when the Vehicle Inspectorate come to visit they are looking for the following :
Ability to Maintain the Vehicles - need maintenance sheets.
Ability to Wash the Vehicles without leaking into ordinary drainage.
Could be a yearly inspection - just a general "Is everything OK"?
Inspections can be due to recently failed MOTs or Fines or anything that is drawn to their attention.

thanks Mice. Have to investigate the drainage situation - as we occupy part of a vehicle recovery yard I assume they have some sort of pollution trap. Not that I've ever seen anyone wash anything other than their cars...
