Yet another 2 Black Hawk choppers crash in Iraq killing at least 17 US troops.Thats over 50 dead in the last 3 weeks from copters alone.
When the first chopper accidents were first reported at the start of the war it hit the headlines for days and people everywhere talked about the terrible loss of life. Now though it seems that people are just getting used to it happening and not taking much notice of it. Its on the news and in the papers one day and wrapped around chips the next.
It's really sad that things get like this when the people just carry on with their everyday lives as if nothing has happened just because it doesnt affect them.
Chip.

I think there would be more of an outcry in the UK if it was British soliders killed, Although we have lost some this way not as many as the US Ii am sure that in the States there is more uproar, Bush isd looking to expedite the handover so i would say this is partly responsible.
Also i would think the familes and friends of the dead soliders care

It is a fact that as people become used to these horrors then it excites less comment. Doesn't mean we are not upset about it though.
I think that if America does pull out of Iraq, even if it hands power over to its chosen government, it will not be long before either Saddam and his supporters or some other kind of fundamentalism takes over and it will all have been in vain.

Hey ho. Not quite as many as the 7,000 or so civilians that we've helped to kill over there though, eh? Now that's what I'd call a tragedy.
