Question

My main source of income is djing- brings in enough to sustain a great life, but i have, dare i say too much spare time.

Obviously all my work is at night, leaving the majority of my days free- which i would like to use to make some more cash...

Anyone have any suggestions for (legal)things i could do from home during the day to bring me in some extra cash (obviously the more the better)?

Already dabble a bit on ebay, but unsure how i could take this further?

Any suggestions welcomed

Or a binman. Dont worry about the training.
You'll pick it up as you go along.

The emphasis being on from home to be honest, ie- flexible etc...

If i wanted a 'normal' day job i have plenty of qualifications and would have no trouble getting one- however, due to me working late (ie, i dont get home from work until 5 or 6 am some nights) i dont think this would really work too well.

- im after something flexible and do-able from home

any sensible suggestions?

spread betting on finanicial markets

I started with £200 and was up to £3k within 2 weeks. That was me not being able to do it full time either - if you're free from 8am (when UK markets open) until 9pm (when USA markets shut), you're onto a winner.

Much better odds than the lottery.

Of course, financial investments can go down as well as up. However, any gains are tax free.

I'd agree with the spread betting plan. As long as you have the cash to waste that is. Having said that I'm a few thousand up on a modest investment.

ProperCharlie - you can SELL shares/indices to make profit as well as BUYING them - ie, you can make money when shares are falling, and make it when they are rising.

It is also geared - ie, small movements can make/lose a large amount.

eg, tonight I was playing binary bets on the Dow finishing up/down.
At 8pm, the Dow was -14 for the day. By 8.20pm it was +4 for the day.
It then fell to -20 within about 2 minutes, and I made around £100. It then bounced the other way back to around -1, and I made another £100. Not a very good explanation, but sometimes it just works so so well - and you can limit your losses as well - the best being the binary bets.

eg, the other night, my max loss was £27 yet I won £250. I placed the bet at 8.58pm, and at 9.00pm, I was £250 up! Not bad for 2 minutes effort.

Timmy... don't do it without studying for a few months first. I do this to kill time between flood control posts in the muppet forum and the few hours I have to work every month, but I understand the game inside out and upside down.

Your phrase 'i just don't understand' gives me a fairly solid clue that you have never heard of this before. With no knowledge you can't really hope to break even. After all..... someone needs to keep me and imlach in the style to which we have become accustomed

So I assume that it's no more likely that you'll win than if you bet on horses/dogs ?

There is a more predictable outcome with the stock market than horses/dogs IMHO IF & ONLY IF you are familiar with the markets - they can still bite badly and do unpredictable things......
