had the above digital camera for about 6 months and noticed recently that almost everyshot I take thats fairly 'close up' the camera displays a small 'hand symbol' and the picture is slightly blurred (even with the close up' option selected).
This even happens if the camera is placed on a hard surface (not held by hand), making picture taking almost impossible!
Anyone else got one of these and offer any advise?

I *think* the hand symbol means that there isn't enough light to eother take a good shot (i.e. too slow a shutter speed) or that there isn't enough light to focus.
Is your flash switched to auto ? If so, it should come on.

The hand symbol means ur hand's shaking!!!!
It appears when there's not enough light for exposure, so the shutter speed is decreased to a point where holding it normally will still produce a blurred pic. Try putting more light to the object, or turn on the flash, or use a tripod.
