OI - this isn't a thread about Bon Jovi hating, each to their own, I'm sure I hate a lot of bands you like

I happen to like their music, if we were all the same the world would be a boring place.

PS - BTW - Skid Row are utter sh!te

By the way, the way Jon Bon Jovi treated Skid Row was a travesty. Just cause they were better than his pikey band.
...damn! I'd forgotten even owning Slave to the Grind. Top album! What's the story between JBJ and Skid Row? That one's obviously passed me by entirely...!

What the **** have they done....

They've taken some of their best hits and ruined every single one thats featured on this album, its appalling. It doesn't showcase them well at all, does no justice to Jon's voice, and what they've done to Always is simply criminal. Most tracks sound the same and its almost like Coldplay suicide music

I'm a huge Bon Jovi fan, have been for almost 20 years, and I'm totally let down by this travesty of an album, first time ever I think what they've done is truely awfull

Don't fet me wrong neil - I thing Bon Jovi are great, the las band I saw at wembley stadium. Just seen their latest remix of "dead or alive" on kerrang channel and all I can say is :

Slave to the grind fecking kicks ***!!!!

seen the following to justify this:
bon jovi x2
skid row x3 (including the infamous docklands arena incident)
metallica x2 (backstage 1992)
aerosmith x1 (unfortunately )
maiden, heart, thunder, dave lee roth, a few donningtons, and the mind goes to jelly.......

oh yeah - I have a signed metallica tour program with snake pit pass.. offers? no chance!!!

AFPMSL @ Steve Sherwen!

I had the misfortune to hear Dead Or Alive 03 last night.....what a pile of w@nk!! The original is one of the (very) few decent Bon Jovi tunes, but that remix is so poor it's unbelievable!

Fatman - I think it was something to do with band management and royalty fees. I have an old video with a Seb Bach interview where he is questioned about it and all he says is 'I cannot talk about that man!
JBJ has a certain talent, no doubt about it but ignore the Firehouse fiasco and the new Dead or Alive, - nooooooooooooo
SB though - time has NOT been kind to him

Did JBJ manage Skid Row? Or, did they both have the same manager themselves?

My bird bought the new (cough cough) album. Havent listened to it as I though it was just another hits collection. So I'm away to listen to it and offer my verdict.

I liked both bands in earlier days than current efforts. So it'll be interesting

Anyway, didnt Motley want to fight Bon Jovi as well? Infact, didnt hanoi rocks want to fight Motley? Didnt Poison want to chin Hanoi? didnt everyone want to fight poison but were overcome with hairspray fumes at the first hurdle? Didnt Linford Christie fight a hurdle? Didnt female Lunchbox manufacturers around the world want to fight Linford Christies Lunchbox? Ah.....everyones a fighter, not a lover............. sorry too tired to think (hehe!!)

ah yes, but Hanoi had a good reason to punch Vince Neil's lights out after the Razzle/fire engine incident!
JBJ signed Skid Row to his label IIRC

JBJ signed them to his label then took all the royalties and rights to the songs and wouldn't let Skid Row play them. As I remember.
