Question

Its very patchy at the moment but the question is should I even be trying to grow one?

Opinions please, and if it has any bearing I shave my head.

Do you like it?

I have a beard of sorts, it's really bumfluff, but I can't stand being clean shaven.

no you shouldn't grow one. unless you want branded a paedophile or a real ale drinker.

you'll be asking if chunky sweaters are OK next...

I think everyone tries to grow a beard at least once. Let it flourish, I'd say give it a month, if it has "filled in" by then, it never will. Mine doesn't but makes a reasonable goatee that almost looks alright.

Personally, no.

Although you have to admire a set of whiskers as sported by James Robertson Justice (Carry On films etc), for instance.
