right - have emailed the seller and the valves are a mixture with different ones in each amp
surely this doesn't matter too much as i can replace them with matching valves?
i'm the high bidder at the moment

get a mail of to the seller and ask about the vlaves. You want to find out what is on each to see if they are the same. Very Important.
To answer you question...yes they are good. As the seller said MUCH MUCH better than the Quads. But not a hell of a lot better than the "20"
If it was me I would get the best conditioned amp which ever..it wouldnt worry me. You will need to spend more on cables etc. It shares a lot with the "20" so could let you know a few tricks that realy help and will not change the original sound. Be carefull of rebuilt ones using modern Caps and resistors...Horrid!!
