The Tesco's player will not play the region 1 discs with RCE. Waste of money if you want multi region.

Lee, this lot reckon they will.

 

I tried but Tescos have stopped selling them.

You can indeed update the firmware to 750s spec, this will play early RCE titles. A family member has this player and on some RCE disc it will not allow him to get to menu's etc and he's stuck with default sound settings and no extra's. The latest RCE titles are supposed to be even harder on software hacks so we will have to wait and see.

Each to his own but I think an extra £50 or so is worth hasle free viewing IMO.

from this, I would assume it's an M5 not a 750(s). Now if only thy listed a region hack for the Tag DVD32R, and next weeks lottery no.s so I could afford a £4K player .
