15yr old murdered....

It sickens me. Some kids today have no idea. Think its cool or ok to carry / use a knife.
Our schools will end up going the way of the USA, metal detectors and security guards.
Bring back "caning". Never did me any harm, maybe kids would then learn again to respect their teachers and other pupils.

it's a mad, bad, crazy world!
I was at a Elementary school a few weeks back. notes on the doors stating that guns, knives, other weapons, and drugs are not permitted insdie the school. FFS! we're talking about primary school kids here (think Elementary is up to primary level?)
no metal detectors though.
And the really scary thing? I was there for three days, and I could go anywhere and everywhere in the school without being questioned at all. Apart from the fact I could have nicked a whole load of equipment, I could have been anyone! when I mentioned this to the people they just shrugged!

Wont be long before its happening all the time.... Nothing gets done about anything in this country.
Could you imagine what would have happend if a teacher had stepped in and hit the scum kid?????? probably would have been in jail by tea time.

**** man. When I was 15 you settled things with the old fisticuffs. Some kids these days just don't give a toss.
I guess we don't know the full story so maybe the kid was dodgy as ****. Still doesn't deserve losing a life over though.
A sad day.

The lad that the police have in custody will be treated as a minor. If convicted, he will not face the severe penalty that the crime warrants.
It’s about time that the parents are held responsible for their children’s actions. It may sound harsh, but someone has to be held responsible for the crime committed and the penalty that the crime warrants.
I say that the parents should go to prison as well as the minor.
Kids like this, clearly do not know the difference between “Right and Wrong”. This principle is fundamental in life, and if you are not taught it by your parents then who is going to teach you?

But seriously, this is a problem that will get worse if the root cause is not tackled.
Kids can get away with murder (literally, sadly) these days - they are clearly shown no discipline at home and their parents aren't exactly incentivised to do anything about it either. The kids are swaggering about shouting "I know my rights, you can't touch me" to the police, and they are right.
Until we make them culpable for what they have done and stop treating them like damn victims, the sooner we can get back to the sort of values this country used to be proud of.

Very very sad.
At the end of the day, the kid knew what he was doing, just because he is under 18 doesn't mean he should be treated any less harshly than someone over 18 going down for murder.
He should be locked up and not let out for about 10 years!
Our law system is ****, it's because of they're leaniency that kinds know thay can get away with this kind of stuff.
In my eyes, anyone over the age of 6 or 7 knows what they are doing and should be held accountable for his or her actions jst like adults are.
I hate to say this, I really do, but just because they are children doesn't mean that they should face lesser punishment for such crimes. Murder is murder, and he should have the book thrown at him.

Hard to say I suppose, but I would not expected that boy to have been carrying a knife or to have used it if he had been brought up properly in the first place. That is if it was his knife of course.
I cannot see why parents should not be held responsible for the actions of and any damage caused by their children. It might make them show a bit more responsibility for them.
