As title please - must come with software so I can play with it on my PC. Budget up to £1k but would prefer £700-800.
Also, where to buy? If online, I want somewhere with some after sales in case it goes wrong, i.e. not empiredirect!

Love my JVC GR DV 1800. Go for the GR DV 2000 if you want to record back to tape any edits you've done on a PC. Does 2M Pix stills too. You'll need a £100 wide angle lens though...
