First car when I was 17 was....
Renault 5 GT Turbo MK2 (Stared life Metalic Grey and Totaly Std)
Then came...
Hybrid Turbo Technics Turbo
Custom made Tube Torque SS Exhaust (single silencer)
Pace Alloy Rad and Intercooler
Silicone Hoses by Power Engineering
Kent Cam
Radbourne Racing Ported and Polished Head
Spesso Head Gasket
Adjustable WasteGate Actuator
PiperCross Foam Airfilter
Magnecor HT Leads
NGK Racing Plugs
Sachs uprated dampers
Custom made HD Clutch
Mintex M1144 Pads
Mintex Group N Disc's
ATE Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid
15" Smith Alloys with 195x45xR15 Yoko's
Resprayed Porsche Metalic Purple.
The result was 187BHP at the Wheels.
God I had some fun in that car and also some hairy moments. The one that really sticks in my mind was driving along a short (600-700yards) stretch of road and the accelerator return cable snapped but the end the the straight and befor I realised what had happed I was doing over 120mph in a 60 zone with my head under the dash trying to pull the peddle of the floor and to stop my engine blowing-up as I was now not in gear.
You would have thought that 10years later I would have grown out of that type of thing but NO I guess somethings never change.

1967 Rover 2000TC. Dog s*it brown colour with red leather interior. No power steering.
Fantastically strong, used to bounce off central reservation with more damge to barrier than car.
So much play in steering box you could turn steering wheel about 1/8th of a turn without moving wheels. Try driving that down the A12 at 100MPH and stay in one lane!

Citroen AX 1.4
AX GT engine, twin carbs.... one of which lived in my bedroom. GT interor, white dials, Lowered..... at the front.
And a stereo to make your ears bleed.
And about half a cubic meter of grass underneath the master cylinder shamelesly stolen from the verge of a damp b-road.
Crashed 3times, never cost more than a tenner to fix took it to france and came back with the oil pressure light consantly on and the plug leads melted to the plugs.
Gave it away, grass and all!

ummmm....
ummmmmm....
..it was a daewoo matiz (lovely polythene bag on wheels). smashed it into the back of a merc cos some woman infront of the merc decided to stop in fast moving traffic. the matiz was a write-off since it would have cost more to fix than buying another one with the same MY. The merc just needed a bumper (the merc driver squeezed a new bumper out of me even though it could have been repaired...the basket!)

Black GT Turbo - Dark Stranger RIP
Had 16's and was lowered so much nobody else could go in her over speed bumps....ere me now!
Proper Ali G style but I was only a kid - top fun motor which took me 10 years to better (in terms of fun) with my WRX!!!!!
If Renault made them again now brand spanking new I'd be on the list for sure!!
