ok, few years ago now I know, but I'm sure it was for the beeb's rally coverage, a funky twangy guitar track was used. I'm sure the original was a song called "Duel" by a group called Propoganda, sounds damn like it, question is, anyone actually got just the instrumental of this, ie; the song used for the tv prog?

Yup,it was Propaganda in 1985.

The "boring" mix was on "A secret wish" as "Duel" and "jewel".
The one you're probably after is from a remix album called "wishful thinking" - ZTT Records cat no. 4509-94748-2.

The remix track "Jewelled" is 7:48 and has about 1:30 of vocals but the rest of it is near identical to the BBC version. The vocals are pretty good in this so there's no real need to cut them.

Any trouble with getting hold of the track then I can sort something out.

Funny you say that...
When I popped downstairs to find the above info, I just had to play it.
Now its somehow got its way into the car CD holder for my run to Kent tomorrow.

Dar-da-dar, da dar da da-da-dar, dar da dar,da da da da dar dar

There was something almost spiritual about that tune when I was actually following a rally !

Talking

The above mentioned track was the very first tune I intended to play after picking up my first Scoob. However, I only had the tape version and since I got a CD changer fitted before I took delivery, I was unable. D'oh.

Thanks to all for reminding me. I'm off to buy the CD.
