Have just got one recently also. Seems excellent, has not failed to find a camera. Laser warning device is useless though, if it goes off, you've probably already been clocked.

Fitting is as easy, or difficult as you want to make it. It can just sit on top of the dash, powered from the cig. lighter. Or you can route all the cables behind the dash etc., and use th ebracket thingy that it comes with.

Hey Scoobychrissy,

Bought Road Angel 2 weeks ago .... Brilliant piece of kit .

MOST important .. Remember to constantly update it evey week or 2 ... Feckin cameras poppin' up all over the place !!

Fitted mine just using velcro bits in R.H. corner of A-Pillar and Windscreen . Brought cables down the side ,squeezed them into gaps , then underneath steering wheel area and into cigarette lighter . Less noticeable and easy to detatch so not to leave on display .

Know it sounds daft but remember to tuck away ( twice cost of a mobile plus thieves now know what to look for !!!)

Hope this helps ,

Steve

Thankfully the Road Angel is not a bad bit of kit

Think you will find there is a laser detector and an extra add on laser jammer

It's the laser jammer they had on 5th gear, sends signal back to plod holding gun then they get an error, by time they have re-set it you have been warned and have slowed down

Scoobchrissy,

You have the latest version of Road Angel . You cannot and do not need to add anything to it . This detects ALL cameras , most mobile sites , and with the Laser detector , handheld units ..( although doubt effectiveness of this as when it goes off , it's probably too late .)

The Laser Jammer StiScooby is talking about is a laser unit that is fitted to the outside of your car ( underneath no. plate or behind front grill ) that is hard wired through to a unit similar looking to R.Angel on you dash ..

Road Angel is 100% legal .. Laser Jammer is NOT .

Yep Steve said what I was thinking

What you have is fine for "detecting" laser etc but as said if your laser detector goes off then the pig has probably got you already!

If you had a laser Jammer (not legal though!) then this not only picks up the signal but sends a signal back giving the plod a duff reading, you then know you have been targeted so slow down and then turn it off encase he suspects you and pulls u in............then it's a device for opening your remote garage doors

laser jammer is legal to own, it's a garage door opener.

please post any real convictions you know of here
