My bro and I recently went to Donnington Park to track our cars.. he has a modified Nissan 200sx. In our euphoria we managed to lose the paper counterparts to our driving licences! I'm going to write to the DVLA to get replacements but will they aoutomatically put the 3 points that I incurred earlier this year back onto the licence? Or is it my resonsibilty to tell them?

I used to have a mate who lost his, DVLA didn't put the points on, he didn't tell 'em !!

Its all kept on a compoota because when my mrs went to court they showed her a copy of her driving record produced by the DVLA, several offences listed etc.

Problem was it wasn't her record LOL!!! After attempting to convince the court she had never been caught speeding before etc. with little luck when she got home with her 11 day ban, I noticed on the paperwork it said page 1 of 2 but there was 3 sheets the middle one was somebody elses!!!

Just a tip

If you phone DVLA and tell them you have lost BOTH parts they will issue you new ones on a debit card over the phone

If you have only lost one part you have to return it by post and it takes a lot longer
