A company which manufacture replica guns and air rifles is about to come in to some difficulty with Blunkett's plans to ban air weapons and replica guns in public. So they write to their local MP to find out how they can overcome it etc. Fair enough.

Ethically its bad, but finally having good ethics alone doesn't pay the bills. The MP may also looking after the interests of his/her local constituents as I would imagine the armaments firm is also a local employer.
