Hello
I want a new footie game for the PS2 (last one I bought was Fifa 2001)and wondered what anyone thought of the above trio, I played Fifa 2003 last week and found it a massive improvement on 2001, I have never played any of the ISS titles but have watched a mates kids do battle on ISS 2 and it looked superb, and lastly Codemasters has brought out Club Football (various club titles), Ive read some X-box reviews of this and it gets a good right up, anyone played it on the PS2?? and recomendations??
Something tells me ISS3 will win the recomendations hands down
So which one will it be??
Cheers
Dave

IMHO Iss pro is THE best footie game I've ever played
And I've played a lot of em!
Club football has gotten some good reviews
Graphics look realy good and gameplay supposed to be quite good too ... very Iss pro like
Never was much of a fan of FIFA
Lacked realism ...always found it too easy to score
If I were u I'd wait until this Friday and buy Iss Pro 3
Will be money WELL spent !

PES3 will be better for game play but wait a tad longer when FIFA 2004 comes out. you wont be dissapointed. career mode says u can play ANY team in the Prem, Div1,2,and 3 and get them promoted etc earning money on the way to improve the squad.
FIFA 2003 was not a very good game TBH so if u liked that get 2004 in a couple of weeks. Awsome

Take the best game in the football genre, improve the controls, graphics, commentary and AI and you get Pro Evolution Soccer 3.
From the outset, Pro Evolution Soccer 3's improvements are obvious. The game's menu screens have been simplified to cater for the wealth of new modes on offer. In addition to the series' renowned cup tournaments, friendly matches and a new, four-division Master League, KCE TYO has also added a 'Shop' element to the game. This adds additional depth to the series, as players accumulate points via the training and exhibition modes. These in turn can be traded for new stadiums, crowd effects, teams, players, strategies and hair styles, rewarding the player for prolonged play.
Pro Evolution Soccer 3 has also undergone a radical aesthetic overhaul, with KCE TYO renewing over 80% of the in-game animations, and a new graphics engine allowing the greatest level of detail seen in the series. Combined, Pro Evolution Soccer 3 benefits from players that not only look identical to their real-life counterparts, but move like them, too. Similarly, the players have improved AI and ball physics that allows them to pull off moves specific to particular situations. As such, long-range drives are now more controllable than before, while players can flick the ball over a defender with their heel and perform deft turns to bypass oncoming defenders.
Players now have facial expressions which change depending on how the game is going, while injuries are more visible with the addition of head bandages and strapped limbs.
Every element of the game has been tweaked, reworked and enhanced resulting in a game where every flick and trick of the real thing can be intuitively performed.
If you love the game of football....you'll love this game.

NAF I could post it to you mate but by the time it arrived on your front door mat the UK version will be in the shops
I've only played it a little bit because the Japanese commentary winds me right up so have been waiting anxiously for the UK version
FM forget FIFA, forget any other football game, Konami are the daddy at making football games

I wonder if there'll be a difference on the cover ?
I bought EA rugby 2004 last week and on the cover was Ronan O Gara the Irish out half
But my mate who bought his in the UK had Johnny Wilkinson on the front of his !
Hmmmmmm.... We shall wait and see !

Just waiting for PES3 to arrive - apparently been despatched even though it isn't out for a week.
I bought PES2 over 12 months ago, and still hammer it more than any other game, and I usually play driving games. I was on PES2 til late last night.
Compared to Fifa it is so good, more intuitive and more realistic.
ISS is different to the Pro Evo series.

Yep PE3
And for golf, go for a less known title that is simply the dogs, called "Everybody's Golf 3" (also known as Hot Shots Golf 3.
That particular golf game is so good it gets even more hammer than Pro Evo!!

Oh, and as Dream Weaver says, ISS (International Superstar Soccer) is a COMPLETELY different game ro Pro Evolution Soccer
Don't be fooled - they're both by a developer called Konami
Its Pro Evolution Soccer that you want.
