A host of celebrity misanthropes cast a disapproving eye over all that is wrong in the world. Razor scooters, body art, business-speak and the young,Designer labels, fast food, automated call centres, body-piercing and speed-bumps. They've all been invented just to make us grumpy. And it works.

Bob Geldof, Rory McGrath, Arthur Smith, John Peel, Will Self and Rick Wakeman head a cast of Grumpy Old Men who look at the world we have created and are appalled.

My Missus says that, but somehow i think she just doesn't get his humour...

I am just 27 and also agreed with everything the grumpy old men said.

(Except the very last bit intro'ing next week's episode - nothing wrong with caring more about cars than fellow human beings)

 

Let's get a bunch of 'Z list' celebrities to trot out the same old crap you can hear in the pub any night of the week - great TV (NOT)!

The BBC are frankly talking the **** out of everyone who has to pay the TV tax with more and more garbage like this. It's either Eastenders, gardening programmes (with a token braless female to bring in the male audience), DIY, fooking cookery, comedy quizz shows or the TV equivalent of the coffee table book like the twaddle that was on last night.

What has happened to our once fine broadcasting organisation? Where is the intelligent debate, the researched documentary, the well written drama? Why do we as a nation have to continually dumb down to the lowest common denominator on the intellectual scale?(Hi to Lizzy and Mark btw )

I for one am sick of it - it gets my back up so much that I hardly watch the BBC if I can avoid it. I'd like to see what would happen if they had to survive commercially rather than have anyone who simply sits near a TV contribute to their miserable existence.
