I'm interested (and fascinated) by the idea of living and working in Canada.
I've checked out http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/applications/skilled.html and was just wondering if I was missing something? It seems 'too easy' to apply (in comparison to the US anyway!)
Has anyone undergone the process or moved there?
Any advice would be greatly recieved! The UK doesnt seem to cut it for me any more!

I thought you had to have a unique skill, something they do not have or require to get in?
Reason i say that is on one of the many relocation programmes a medical guy wanted to go there along with his nurse wife, they could not until they discovered he had passed a course in major disaster management, that did the trick, even him being a trained paprmedic and a manager for the Ambulance Service did not cut it. This was shot in 2002.
I like the look of Canada and would be interesed in more info. will have a look at the link.

Entry to Canada is based on a points system rather than skills, you need to have enough points to get in. I read all about it online about a year ago, can't remember where but it can't be far from Google.

Need 75 points, currently on about 65
Not thinking of going tomorrow, but I'm not far off! Need a job offer from a Canadian company and I'm 'all set'

My ex has just moved over there and she is having a few problems to say the least. Since September the 11th things have got a bit awkward and the delays in getting your full residency are a bit of a nightmare
She can't even come home for a holiday at the moment or they basically won't let her back in to the country
However... don't know if I'd recommend anyway it after what she's had to put up with in the last 8 months...
SARS....
Big Power Cut
The edge of Hurricane Isobel
And more snow than you could be bothered with .... oh and ice on the windscreen this morning Summers over
