Just saw one of those little petrol£ tables when filling up at a station today on the side of the pump. Havent seen them in years and wondered why.......???

it read like this

pence/litre £ gallon
25p 1.10
26p 1.14

etc...etc....and it only went up to 65pence per litre. Obviously it was made for petrol at the 30-35pence p/litre price. Bet the person who drew it up never thought it'd ramp up to the 80's.

How I laughed at that!! Wonder why they dont show upto date one??? Sheer embarassment probably?

Hello

I used to work in a petrol station 20 years ago (God, I feel old), and was quite shocked at the idea that I might have to charge people £1 a Gallon if the prices kept rising!

Steve.
