Red face

Norton anti-virus seems to work overtime whenever I'm on Scoobynet - has anyone else found this? If you use the trace facility on the latest Norton programme they seems to eminate from good old USA - particularly California !!

So watch out folks

Do you want to post the details so we can have a guess at what's really going on?

My best guess is that a firewall is blocking high port number reponses from the web server - these are small images being pushed down in accordance with HTTP 1.1...

straight over my head chiark !!
I'm an IT luddite compared to most but thought it was worth a mention - as long as Norton keeps doing its job I'm happy

well, at the moment you're suggesting that scoobynet is sending you trojans: it isn't, and someone could take offense at that statement

Could you post the exact error message from Norton?

Ta,
Nick.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the advice Nick,
wasn't for a second suggesting that Scoobynet was sending out Trojan Horses but hear where you're coming from.
So what exactly are they then? (I know about the historical version !!)

A Trojan horse is a program that claims to do one thing or nothing but does something else instead. Just like the horse.

But there you go.
