PG, you said you wouldn't but I knew you would end up with a red pup total class m8, looks a good one, good bone structure and clean markings on him. I am now getting closer to Boxer owning land,
Hazard 1, convince wife - pretty much took care of that one
Hazard 2, need bigger house/garden - the deal is done should be in next easter if the f'kin builder gets his finger out.
Then its pup hunting time I might need your contact for them next year m8
John.
Edited coz I'm useless at spelling

How much for a decent boxer then?
Do you need to get the hip scored or is that just labradors and german shepherd dogs?
Pretty sure you should get them ecg'd as they are prone to heart problems (boxers that is)

Think all breeding stock should be hip scored I wouldn't breed or use a stud that wasn't even though theres not a great problem of HD in my breed ..and scoring will help to make sure it doesn't become a problem. It's the parents of the pup that are scored as dogs can't be scored until 12 months old.
As for heart problems I do not know the boxer breed well enough but usually you can find out from the breed club what tests your breeder should've had done, make sure you see the original certificate to prove it too.

Lets face it.....it was always going to happen
With Boxers it is heart scoring you look for. They are prone to aeortic stenosis (sp??) cancer and brain tumours are other things the breed is prone to.
If there is a prob to be had with Boxers I have had it happen !!
Our youngest (atm) had Meningitus !!! And our eldest a skin condition but wouldnt think twice about another....well I didnt
(oh, and the case that I am not allowed a Rottie)
Must admit, he is the dog I have wanted from day one so I am well chuffed and my GF really wants to get into the breeding side of things (for want of a better phrase)
