Used to live near there as alad - it's the A20, and runs up towards Brands Hatch. I think it's speed limited now (live in Bedfordshire now) but was well known for fatal accidents in the past. Is also near West Kingsdown which was (is?) posh gangsters estate e.g Kenneth Noye etc.

Anyone remember All Car Equipe near Brands and Nick Whiting - used to run the All Car Equipe Escort in special saloon cars back in the mid 70's? He got kidnapped from his car showroom down the road and turned up dead in the boot of a car!

While I'm going down memory lane, along the A20 from Brands there used to be a tuning company called Howe Exhausts. Run by Geoff Howe and his mrs. She did the cash but also knew all the technical stuff while he machined heads, made exhausts etc. Really good stuff - I had a big valve head and cam from them for my Stiletto. That brings back happy memories, it seemed really quick at the time although not now I suppose although it would pull 7500 rpm in top on the flat which wasn't bad in 1976 I guess for a 975cc engine. At one time there were 5 of us all with tuned Imps and we spent every weekend fixing stuff that went wrong. Could get engines out in 15 minutes for new head gaskets!

Question

As a lad, I travelled through London with parents on the way to Dover. We went through South-East London, and SOMEWHERE we went up a hill with a large roadsign proclaiming "Death Hill. Accident Blackspot"
Anyone know where it is/was?
