Anyone know where / who to ask? A friends son wants to go - he's 12 but a serious car nut. All help appreciated.

Not sure they allow kids. At least I've never seen any there.

Sorry, didn't mean on the TV, but on the two occasions I was part of the audience myself. There were no children present at all. Don't know what the rules are though, so I guess it does no harm to ask.

In fact according to the applause store website there *is* an age restriction of 18+. Also it says for the new series you can *only* book for equal numbers of men and women. Quote:

THE PRODUCER OF THE SERIES REQUIRES EQUAL AMOUNTS OF WOMEN & MEN IN THE AUDIENCE, SO IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON BOOKING TICKETS, YOU MUST HAVE A 50/50 SPLIT OF GUYS & GALS IN YOUR PARTY FOR US TO ACCEPT YOUR REQUEST.

WE HAVE TO BE VERY STRICT WITH THIS - ANY EXCUSE ON THE ACTUAL DAY OF RECORDING WILL RESULT IN NOT GAINING ENTRANCE INTO THE STUDIO ITSELF.
